Can C2C be used on the website or app?
What is C2C trading？
Peer-to-peer (C2C) trading, known as "customer-to-customer" trading in some regions, enables users to directly buy and sell cryptocurrencies on a C2C platform, exchange, or marketplace. As a facilitator, the C2C platform provides a channel for buyers and sellers to post quotes. Meanwhile, online digital asset custody services ensure the secure and timely delivery of digital assets during the transaction.
Are the quotes seen in the C2C market provided by XT?
The quotes displayed in the C2C market are not provided by XT. XT merely facilitates C2C trading. The quotes are offered by individual users.
How does XT protect C2C traders?
All online transactions are under custody protection. After an ad is posted, the corresponding amount of cryptocurrency is automatically reserved from the seller's funds. This means that if the seller fails to release the cryptocurrency, XT's customer service can use the reserved cryptocurrency to pay the buyer. On the other hand, sellers must not release the cryptocurrency until confirming receipt of the buyer’s payment. Note that some payment methods used by buyers may not support instant settlement, which could pose a risk of payment reversal.
Can you trade without completing KYC verification? What do you need to do before trading on the C2C platform?
All XT users are required to complete KYC verification before they use XT's products and services, including C2C trading. Please refer to 'How to complete KYC verification'. Additionally, before starting C2C trading, you must enable phone verification and at least one 2FA method (email, Google Authenticator, or security key) in the [Security Center].
To use Google Two-Factor Authentication, you need to download the “Google Authenticator” app.
Scan the QR code in the User Center with 'Google Authenticator', or manually enter the 16-digit key below the QR code.
Enter the SMS verification code and the 6-digit code from “Google Authenticator” to successfully bind the account.
Can C2C be used on the website or app?
You can conduct C2C trading on both the XT website and the XT app.
